FAQs About Personal Chef Services McHenry IL
A personal chef is a chef hired by several clients, (not by one which is usually a private chef) usually hired for a day to provide multiple assorted meals for the week. A Personal Chef can be hired on a weekly, bi-weekly/ monthly basis or even just for a day. Meals are created from a custom-menu design by the chef from the clients choice of food items and dishes they love. The Chef simply comes to the clients home, creates the meals, pack and stores them with instructions for the client to enjoy.
Though I do like to push a healthy lifestyle and I'm a high believer in getting the most out of the food you eat, I also can cook meats and fish if a client requires it. Usually, with most clients, there is always one that requires or just plainly wants some meat. Plus, with special diets, either from doctors advice or Keto, Paleo, I can adjust to the needs of any client. The best way to find out more is to just drop me a line in the contact page.
It's a really simple process. You contact me. We will chat on the phone, make sure I'm available. Upon the chat, discussing what it is you would like, if it sounds like a personal chef is what you want, I will send you on a food questionnaire so I can see what you like and would like, then we would set up a free consultation. I would meet you at your home, see your kitchen, talk about food, any specific goals you are aiming for, why you need the chef. I will take plenty of notes. After the meeting, and based on the food questionnaire, I will create menus and dishes for you to chose from.
We will set up a cook date. I will go do the shopping for the groceries from the menu created, come to your home, prepare and create the chosen dishes, pack them in your fridge, clean the kitchen, and leave. It really is that simple.
This all depends on how many dishes need cooking, how many days of food you need. So it can take several hours. I also make sure that the timing suits and accommodates your schedule and this is easily worked out during the consultation.
Realistically, everyone. From single people, to couples, families, athletes, new parents, the elderly, lone parents, busy professionals, people with special dietary needs, food allergies or restrictions, those that can’t cook, don't like to cook, or don’t like their own cooking, patients and those just released from the hospital and unable to cook for themselves, people trying to lose weight, people trying to put on weight. The list is endless.
I cover all over McHenry County Illinois. I also have been known to travel into Chicago as well as other places outside of McHenry so get in contact anyway.
Not at all. Most of my clients are never there and we make arrangements to determine how I can gain access to your house. Also, there is not a problem at all if the client would like to be there on the cook date. Both ways work well.
Yes, with vast knowledge and experience working with many diets I can work with clients who are on, want to start a special diet or are in need of special dietary requirements. Some people are on strict instructions from their doctors and have dietary requirements to follow, but struggle to stay on the path or do not know what foods they can make, that is where my experience can be of great help.
Some clients are starting keto, paleo, want to lose weight and so on but do not want to do the cooking, do not like the cooking or food they create or just need help. Before a dish is ever cooked in your home, a ton of research is done and a very specific menu will be created and made delicious for you.
We can determine what your cost will be after a quick conversation where we talk through your needs, how much you need, how many people and so on, and from there I can provide a proper quote.
You can expect to pay between $200-$400/week for 3-6 entrees of 2-4 portions each excluding groceries. It always differs and it's just easy to give me a call or email and dicuss what we can possibly do together.
Yes, I can do cooking classes for small groups as well as one-to-one which is most popular. Very popular too are small dinner parties for 2 or 4 up to 12+. I recently did a 75 people party. I seem to be hired for a lot of small private parties, birthday parties, small gatherings at holidays (Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas etc.) And couples love a personal chef for a night at Valentines, or as a birthday gift. So, if you have something in mind, get in contact.
Yes indeed. I offer myself as a gift voucher, you can check out that page here.
